Philippines needs an additional 152TWh of renewable generation by 2050 compared with the current policy projection based on the draft Philippine Energy Plan 2023’s clean energy scenarios, as per the non-government report. Malaysian based firm JLand Group (JLG), Johor Corporation’s real estate firm, and Cenergi SEA Berhad, a subsidiary of UEM Group, have signed a pact to invest US$29m (RM 140m) to install rooftop solar and energy efficiency to power Johor industrial parks. The firm said that with this joint venture, commercial and industrial consumers in 11,069-acre JLG industrial parks in Johor will get the benefit. Chinese firm, Huasun Energy and Thai EPC Grow Energy have signed a framework agreement for the supply of 150MW of heterojunction (HJT) modules. As per the agreement, some of these will be deployed at a floating project in Bangkok.
