Bangladesh To Send Energy Dept Officials To China For Training

The Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources has now planned to send a set of their officials to China for an exposure visit. The move was taken to bolster the capacity of the South Asian country in the energy sector. As per the plan, the country has planned to send four officials to the an event in China from January 5 to January 11. These officials have also been asked to make a report on the learnings to the government.

The department has sanctioned their deputation for the event too. These officials hail from the Dhaka Electric Supply Company Limited (DESCO). “The undersigned is directed to convey the sanction of deputation of the following officers of Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB) and Dhaka Electric Supply Company Limited (DESCO) to participate in the “Witnessing of the manufacturing process and tests of the goods at manufacturer’s works including transfer of technical know-how” on power transformer, station auxiliary transformer (contract no. 10447 Date: 10-10-2018 & 10532 Date:03-07-2019 ) to be held in China from 05-01-2024 to 11-01 2024 or 07 (seven) days from the start of the journey (excluding travel time),”

These include two engineers from Sylhet and Dhaka.
