Actis’ pan-Southeast Asia platform Levanta Renewables has signed an agreement with Triconti Windkraft Group to jointly develop the Atimonan Onshore Wind Project of around 100 MW in Quezon Province of Luzon in Philippines.
Why this matters for Philippines
The project was granted under the GEA-4 (Government Energy Auction 4), expected to be commercialized operation by 2028, which marks a deeper push into Philippines wind-energy space for Levanta. The partnership with a regional heavyweight adds credibility, technical resources and financial backing for Triconti and increases the chances of timely and high-quality project delivery. Once operational, the wind farm is anticipated to add a vast expanse of clean and renewable electricity to the Luzon grid, which supports the country’s goal of increased renewable share in its electricity mix.
Lila M. Rosenberger, President & CEO of Triconti Windkraft Group stated, “Winning GEA-4 was just the start. Our job now is to make good on that commitment—moving these projects from paper to power. Working with Levanta gives us the strength and expertise to deliver efficiently and ensure this wind farm brings lasting benefits to communities while advancing the country’s energy independence.”
Levanta Renewables has a target to achieve an operating capacity of 1.5 GW by 2028 through this project. The company has headquarters in Singapore and operates across Thailand, the Philippines, Vietnam and Malaysia as one of the leaders in renewable energy in Southeast Asia.
Triconti Windkraft Group is focused on wind energy development in the Philippines and manages site-identification to ready-to-build status, with over 4 GW of onshore and offshore wind projects.
