The strategic supply agreement between Sungrow and Gulf Energy Development Plc (GULF) marks a significant step towards advancing Thailand’s renewable energy sector. Through this partnership, Sungrow will supply PV inverters and liquid-cooled energy storage systems to meet GULF’s project requirements totaling 3.5GWp over the next seven years.

This collaboration is in line with Thailand’s Power Development Plan (PDP), aiming to address rising electricity prices, optimize energy supply structures, and bolster national energy security and independence. By integrating photovoltaic and energy storage technologies, the projects aim to set a model for renewable energy development in Southeast Asia.

GULF, being one of Thailand’s major private power producers with a strong focus on renewable energy, sees this collaboration as essential for driving growth in the renewable energy sector. The choice of Sungrow’s SG350HX string inverters and PowerTitan energy storage systems underscores the emphasis on quality and efficiency in energy storage and inverter solutions.

Sarath Ratanavadi, CEO of Gulf Energy, emphasizes the commitment of both companies to advancing the renewable energy sector. He expresses confidence in Sungrow’s capability to execute projects with the highest quality, highlighting their ongoing partnership to accelerate Thailand’s energy transformation and contribute to the sustainable development of Southeast Asia.

This collaboration aligns with Thailand’s Power Development Plan, aimed at enhancing energy security and establishing renewable energy models. Gulf Energy, a prominent private power producer in Thailand, emphasizes the importance of partnering with industry-leading suppliers like Sungrow to ensure top-notch quality and efficiency in renewable energy solutions. The integration of Sungrow’s SG350HX string inverters and PowerTitan energy storage systems will ensure stable operations and clean electricity delivery to the grid, setting benchmarks for renewable energy development in Southeast Asia.”
