Vietnam-based AD Green, which delves into solar field installation and manufacturing solutions, will set up a solar module production facility in Thai Binh. This facility will boast of 3 GW annual capacity and will deliver to both domestic as well as overseas projects, particularly in the US market. AD Green is a subsidiary of Vietnamese business group Damsan Joint Stock Company.

AD Green stated that it is looking to exploit the benefits of the tariff exemption for Vietnam’s solar panels in the US. This will be valid until June next year.

The firm added, “This exemption, lasting up to 24 months, allows AD Green to meet the skyrocketing solar energy demand in the United States, opening new opportunities for the company to expand its market presence and contribute to the global renewable energy transition.”

At present, the automated fab boasts of operational capacity of 500 MW and is under the first phase. In the span of the next twelve months, AD green will bring online capacity of 3 GW.

The shipping of 540W monocrystalline PV cell panels, with half-cell and tilling ribbon, technology will also kickstart this month. Once the fab reaches 3 GW, it will be producing up to 480,000 solar panels every month.

The Vietnamese firm said it was also looking for collaboration with international players interested in local solar projects.
