Taiwan Fertilizer Co.(TFC) has plans to venture into the clean energy sector by utilising ammonia, an effective hydrogen energy carrier. This was disclosed by TFC chairman Lee Suen-zone recently at an industrial seminar in Taipei. He said that the company plans to construct two ammonia storage facilities over the next two to three years. Vietnam has recently achieved a milestone with the completion of a 29.7 MW wind project. The project, which harnesses the power of wind has now gone online and is operational. Malaysia and the United Arab Emirates have agreed to jointly establish renewable energy capacity of 10 gigawatts in Malaysia worth $8 billion by 2025. Chinese firm Ningbo Shanshan, the world’s largest supplier of electric car battery materials has ambitious plans to invest up to  1.28 billion euros ($1.35 billion) in a new project in Finland. The project is a part of the Chinese company’s plan to expand its overseas presence and meet growing demand, said the firm. Thailand based, Prime Road Power, an operator of solar farms and provider of solar panel installation services, aims to increase clean power generation capacity to 1,800 megawatts across Asia within five years.
