Levanta Renewables has recently secured financial closure and issued a Notice to Proceed (NTP) for the Barotac Solar Power and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project in the Visayas, Philippines. The project comprises a 166 MWp ground-mounted solar photovoltaic (PV) facility integrated with an 80 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS). Project financing has been secured from two leading banks.
The project was awarded a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) under the Philippines Department of Energy’s Green Energy Auction Program Round 4 (GEA-4) and is targeting commercial operations by mid-2027. The Barotac Solar Power and BESS project forms a key part of Levanta’s growing renewable energy portfolio in Southeast Asia.
