Malaysia’s Reservoir Link Energy Bhd, a firm dealing in energy-related services, has successfully obtained six new solar contracts from June to August 2023, through its subsidiary Founder Energy Sdn Bhd, in which it holds a 51% stake.

The firm said that the contract signifies the firm’s commitment to the solar energy sector. The contract is estimated to be at RM6.59 million. These projects are situated in Selangor, Johor, and Penang. These projects cover diverse scope of work, including engineering procurement, construction, commissioning, and solar facility earthing works.

Reservoir Link Executive Director Thien Chiet Chai said, “Malaysia’s solar industry has been experiencing tremendous growth over the past few decades, especially in terms of deployment, investments and interests from various parties. This is no surprise as solar energy is one of the most abundant and promising sources of renewable energy in Malaysia. As the nation is in transition into renewable energy, we do not foresee the demand to taper off anytime soon. In fact, we believe we have to double up our deployment activities in order to keep up with such overwhelming demand as evident from the continuous new orders and enquiries we have been receiving. That said, we remain positive towards the contributions from our renewable energy segment over the coming years.”
