The Philippines’ Department of Energy (DoE) has published the list of eligible bidders for participation in the country’s second green energy auction round (GEA-2) which is slated for June 19 with the offering of 11,600 MW of total capacity.

It has listed 118 eligible bidders that include subsidiaries and associates of Aboitiz Power, Enfinity and Solar Philippines. It is reported that the number of potential bids amount to 339, which includes Phinma Solar Energy Corporation which accounts for almost one-third of the total.

The  pre-bid conference for qualified bidders is scheduled to  take place on June 6, the DoE said. As per earlier reports, with this auction round, the Philippines government is looking forward to award 3,600 MW of capacity for 2024, 3,600 MW for 2025, and 4,400 MW for 2026.
