The Sustainable Energy Development Authority (SEDA) Malaysia is gearing up to host the sixth edition of the International Sustainable Energy Summit (ISES) 2024 on August 20-21 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC). Organized under the theme “Accelerating Energy Transition Through Innovation,” the summit is set to be a pivotal event for sustainable energy dialogue and innovation.
With the patronage of the Energy Transition and Water Transformation Ministry (PETRA) and managed by Qube Integrated Malaysia Sdn. Bhd., the summit aims to advance Malaysia’s leadership in the ASEAN region’s sustainable energy transition. Scheduled to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, ISES 2024 underscores Malaysia’s commitment to achieving a 70% renewable energy mix in its power generation by 2050.
The summit will provide a platform for fostering regional and global partnerships, sharing best practices, and showcasing the latest innovations in sustainable energy. It will feature plenary sessions and workshops led by distinguished energy experts, exploring topics such as green mobility, grid modernization, and integrating Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles into investment strategies.
Renowned speakers including Dr. Amir Hisham from PSC Singapore, Hairol Azizi Tajudin from Cenergi-SEA Bhd, Datuk Khairuddin Tan Sri Mohd Hussin from Concord Green Energy Sdn Bhd, and Dr. Graeme Hutchison from PSC UK Ltd will share insights and expertise.
Highlighting the importance of nurturing young talent, the summit will include speakers from SEDA Malaysia, such as Ahmad Zairin Ismail, Dr. Nurmazilah Mahzan, and Steve Anthony Lojuntin.
