This partnership can strengthen its partnership with Chinese manufacturers and expand its presence in the region.  With this partnership, Constant Energy becomes Tongwei Solar’s first major client in Southeast Asia to procure solar panels at significant volume.

With this partnership, Constant Energy becomes Tongwei Solar’s first major client in Southeast Asia to procure solar panels at significant volume.  Under this agreement, Constant Energy secured the 52 MW solar farm in Malaysia, under the fifth Large Scale Solar (LSS) program launched by the Malaysian government.

Joe Chen, Director of Overseas Module Business at Tongwei Solar, said, “With a fully integrated supply chain—from polysilicon production, to high-efficiency solar cells, and finally to module manufacturing—Tongwei provides stable capacity, strong delivery certainty, and rigorous quality control at every step. Our Meishan production base is rewarded as the world’s first ‘Lighthouse Factory’ in the photovoltaic cell sector, setting new benchmarks in automation, digitalization, and manufacturing excellence. With this upstream strength as our foundation, we are able to ensure that every module delivered to Constant Energy meets the highest standards of performance and long-term reliability.”

“This is not a one-off transaction; it signifies the ongoing scale-up of a strategic partnership that began in 2023, when we received our first panels from Tongwei Solar. Since then, our collaboration has continued to accelerate, built on shared values, mutual trust, and a common vision for sustainable development. Constant Energy and Tongwei Solar will continue to collaborate on future projects in Thailand, Malaysia, and Vietnam, supporting industrial growth through clean energy,” said Franck Constant, CEO and founder of Constant Energy.

Constant Energy Acquires 7.7 MW Solar Portfolio From EDP Renewables APAC

Previously, in a separate announcement, Constant Energy announced the complete acquisition of a 7.7-megawatt (MW) portfolio of operational solar photovoltaic (PV) assets across four different locations in Thailand.  Constant Energy secured this project from EDP Renewables APAC. The portfolio consists of fully operating solar projects under long-term power purchase agreements with reputable industrial off-takers in Thailand.

This earstwhile transaction was led by Green Horizon Capital Partners, which acted as the exclusive financial advisor to Constant Energy and managed all aspects of the deal process. This acquisition solidifies Constant Energy’s long-term vision to scale up renewable energy capacity across Asia, in addition to its broad capabilities in structuring PPAs. Together, these approaches empower Constant Energy to accelerate clean energy deployment and drive the region’s transition to a more resilient and sustainable energy future.
