Solarist Thungfai Company Limited, an indirect subsidiary of RATCH Group unit’s Saha Cogen (Chonburi) Public, signed a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement with the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand for the development of 27-megawatt solar projects.

In its statement, RATCH Group said, “The project is targeted to start operations in 2030 and will receive a feed-in-tariff rate of (THB2.1679) per kilowatt-hour during the contract period.”

The firm further said, “The project will contribute to reducing fuel price volatility and electricity cost burden to the consumers by providing clean energy at lower price.”

It added that the project is in line with the company’s goal to achieve the targets of 25% of total generation capacity, carbon neutrality and sustainable growth.

It may be noted that, recently, as part of its investment plans, the firm announced ten projects overall for Australia, Vietnam, and the Philippines. For this, RATCH Group has conducted feasibility studies. It also includes pipelined projects undergoing development. Future projects are expected to hold a 2,918.23 MW capacity from 2024 to 2033.
